With outlets distributed across Eastern Europe, the big-name supermarket chain is thronged with shoppers as a favorite marketplace for local residents and also a highly sought-after venue for advertisers.
In these busy streets, a large LED display is sure to delight shoppers while at the same time offering them easy and quick access to useful information.
In response to the strong demand for infotainment, an advertiser obtained a license to install LED displays in front of the supermarkets and release ads on these displays.
In early 2010, the advertiser contacted and inspected around 100 Chinese LED display vendors, looking for suitable LED displays for the stores of the famous supermarket chain. Soon after, it decided to source from a company based in China’s Pearl Delta.
Attracted by ‘Zero Down Payment’
Coincidentally, the advertiser came into contact with Absen before purchasing displays from the company in March 2010 and was deeply impressed by Absen’s 'Zero Down Payment' program. The LED display sector usually employs a model of manufacturing after advance payment. Contrary to the common practice, Absen implements a ‘make to plan’ model instead of ‘make to order’. The ‘Zero Down Payment’ program allows customers to pay after inspecting products just as easily as they shop in a store. At Absen’s invitation and accompanied by Absen’s Eastern European distributor, the advertiser inspected Absen in Shenzhen.
Convinced by the High Definition and Brightness
Before his visit to Absen, the customer temporarily ordered a display with a dot pitch of 25mm. After closely examining a lineup of LED displays, he began to tilt towards A1688.
Unveiled in April 2010, the A1688 LED display features a dot pitch of 16mm. In addition to high levels of flatness and contrast, the display supports luminance of up to 8,000 nits and dot-by-dot correction, and delivers naturally clear images, making it an ideal device for outdoor advertising. High definition represents the trend of LED displays. Advertisements on a low-resolution display cannot capture the attention of audience and will discourage merchants from placing ads on the display. This in turn may cut into the advertising income, which is the last thing advertisers want to see.
Through careful consideration, the advertiser finally signed a deal with Absen to purchase A1688 LED displays without having to pay upfront.
Since the beginning of 2011, Absen has equipped the supermarket chain’s outlets across Eastern European with 40 A1688 LED displays that exceed 2,000 square meters in total area. Encouraged by the success story, a growing number of European and American countries are planning to replace conventional advertising boards with Absen’s outdoor LED displays.
