      According to a report from a Chinese newspaper on September 26, a gang of foreign criminals managed to access the mailbox of a company’s salesman via a telecom network. They used the salesman’s email, and defrauded the customer of payments of 588,000 Yuan by asking the customer to transfer the payment to another bank account.

 Avoid fraud by implementing the following protective measures:

1. Protect you email account, set email encryption, and block spam.

2. Call your contact in Absen for confirmation if you receive any notice about bank information changes?

3. Do not include words such as ‘PI’, ‘remittance’, or ‘transfer’ in the subject field of emails.
